A new healthcare clinic in Temple is offering patients another option for receiving specialized treatments often administered in hospitals.
Immersiv Health recently opened an outpatient infusion clinic in Temple, expanding access to infusion-based therapies for patients with chronic and complex medical conditions.
The clinic, located at 354 Green Hollow Drive, Suite 120, is now accepting referrals and patients.
The Temple location also assists patients and referring physicians with insurance approvals, which are a crucial part of receiving often very expensive medications. According to Han, medications can range anywhere between $1,600 all the way up to $300,000.
“We help patients get through all the insurance pieces, all the co-pay assistance, all the grant programs,” Han said. “We really take it upon ourselves to lower the financial burden as much as possible for these patients because these medications are so ridiculously expensive.”
The clinic is designed to help patients start treatment sooner and provide a more consistent care environment. Patients receiving infusion therapy often require repeated treatments over months or years, depending on their condition.
“For chronically ill patients, this isn’t a curative therapy, but it is a treatment that greatly impacts their lives and makes their day-to-day significantly easier,” Han said.
The opening of the Temple facility marks the second location in Texas for the company. Immersiv Health also operates a clinic in Kyle and plans to open additional locations in Texas later this year, including in Lubbock.
Han shared the company chose Temple because of the growing healthcare presence and its role as a regional hub for Central Texas patients.
“We want to bring the same level of infusion care that you might find in larger cities to communities like Temple,” Han said.
The Temple clinic also aims to serve all patients from surrounding communities including Belton, Killeen and other parts of Bell County.
“There is a large veteran population and most of the other providers don’t accept Tri-care. We will,” Han said. “We also accept Medicare and Medicaid patients where others don’t.”
Patients interested in receiving treatment at the Temple clinic can reach out to Immersive Health directly or are encouraged to speak to their physicians for a referral.
“We are happy to try to bring that to places like Temple, which has obviously been growing incredibly rapidly, but doesn’t have these types of services available to them,” Han said.
